AG Member Spotlight

Ashley Gates

Profession: Entrepreneur, 9Round Fitness

ULYPMT Member since 2015; ULYP Member since 2011

Why did you join ULYPMT?

I was a member of the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Chattanooga, where I held several positions which included Chapter President. I couldn’t move to Tennessee and not be a part of what I think is the BEST organization for Young Professionals.

What do you enjoy about being a member?

The Urban League and the Urban League Young Professionals allows those 21-40 years old demographic to be the leaders we ARE.  We are empowered through our development, civic engagement, and VOICE to show the Nashville community and Country why Young Professionals make a difference.  Events such as Ferguson, MO, the 2016 Presidential Election, and Social Media emergence as a news source has made our charge even stronger.   We are here to Lead and will press on with the message and more importantly, ACTION of the league.

What’s your favorite community service to date?

Christmas time is tough for people that are less fortunate than us, so when we have the opportunity to help children with food, toys, and clothing….it warms my heart to be a part of projects that make Children SMILE and be joyful.

Any fun facts?
