ULYPMT Member since April 2015

Why did you join ULYPMT?

I strive to live by Gandhi’s quote, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Being an active and passionately engaged member of this great historical organization allows me to get to know my new city, the community and those within it while participating in and impacting change I believe in.

What do you enjoy about being a member?

I actually enjoy partnering with other amazing young professionals under the unified effort of positively impacting our community and having a good time along the way!

What’s your favorite community service to date?

That would be the most recent one, serving youth and their families at the Napier Community Center Holiday party.

Any fun facts?

I actually have a few: I’ve built homes in South Africa. I’m celebrating living in Nashville for a year and prior, I lived in LA for the past 9 years, where I was a member of the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals and a member of their Civic Engagement and Political Awareness committee.

Trina Boone

Chicago native, Trina Boone has always been crazy about community. She began her fascination in the power of a strong outreach initiative and well-placed marketing tactics at the young age of 15. After an assembly line of internships and receiving her B.A. in Public Relations and Marketing, Trina sought to find a career balance between her formal training and a desire to provide programming of substance to under-served communities.
